Do you shop on eBay, Craigslist or similar sites for used mobile devices? If so, here are a few tips to ensure that you are not a victim of fraud. If a used device is ever reported lost or stolen the device cannot be activated on our network - - so BUYER BEWARE!  
We strongly recommend that you purchase used devices from a trustworthy source: visit us or at any Virgin Mobile USA authorized dealer just to be safe.
When purchasing a used device make sure you follow these steps however, please also be aware that this step does not guarantee that the lost/stolen status won’t change prior to your attempt to activate.
  • Always request the ESN or MEID from seller
  • Contact Virgin Mobile Care at 1-888-322-1122 and ask our Care representative to verify whether the device has been reported lost or stolen
  • Be sure toprovide either the ESN or MEID
